In September, we took our younger sponsored children (primary and junior secondary) camping at Sanctuary Farm wildlife conservancy in Naivasha. We camped among zebras, impalas, giraffes, wildebeests, water bucks, and lots of hippos. At night children enjoyed telling stories and singing songs around a campfire. The next morning, they all went on a boat ride to visit more animals. Most of these children had never before been beyond the Maralal area, and they definitely had never been in a boat. They had a blast! For children who are overcoming abuse and/or severe poverty, we feel these joyful experiences are very healing.
