Kerri Cottle is first and foremost an educator. She has worked in education the past 21 years in various positions, including Learning Specialist, Summer School Program Director, Tribal Liaison, After-School Activities Director, Running Club Coach and Geography Club Coach, and she coordinates the New Mexico National Geographic GeoBee.

She is also an avid volunteer and develops service projects for school-age children. Her passion for youth development led her to Rising Stars in the Southwest, a nonprofit youth leadership program, where she now serves as the board Vice President.

Kerri’s interest in global cultures was galvanized when she was selected and awarded a grant to tour Turkey as part of the Turkish Cultural Foundation’s efforts to give U.S. students a greater understanding of Turkish culture. She is now an advocate for diversity and social equity issues and presents at the annual NAIA People of Color Conferences. She is extremely excited about working with Global Pearls to craft new programs to educate youth on global issues.
