PERU – December 2017 – Hostel Construction Begins

    Hostel Construction Begins in Cachora

Cachora is the starting point for a trek along the Choquequirao Trail, and it was chosen as the starting point for our Heritage Trail project. Juan used the initial Global Pearls grant to purchase land and construction material in Cachora. He, along with many friends and relatives, have started construction on a hostel to house trekkers the night before they start their journey. The second floor rooms will have stunning views of the Andes Mountains, and the hostel will provide jobs for local residents and income for the Heritage Trail project.
